A Critical Moment for Syrian Media
Syrian journalists who survived 14 years of war now have unprecedented opportunities to serve their communities and help shape their country's future. Professional verification skills and fact-checking techniques are essential tools for navigating this complex information landscape and building public trust.
Our Response
Twenty Syrian journalists will participate in intensive workshops, learning cutting-edge verification and fact-checking techniques. Post-workshops, participants will receive production grants to put their skills into practice, producing quality stories for local and regional platforms.
Building Infrastructure for Truth
In October, our Arabic-language resource hub will launch with practical guides, video tutorials, and case studies. Our research team will analyze Syria's media landscape to generate insights for journalists, academics, and policymakers.
Impact in Real Time
Each program graduate will become a multiplier, mentoring colleagues and strengthening Syria's media ecosystem. By December 2025, we will have a full resource library and published research supporting the reliable journalism Syrians need during their historic transition.
