New Correspondents Magazine Published
The second edition of Correspondents magazine has been published. The content of this year’s annually published magazine, a highlight of Correspondents.org website, examines the topic of leadership in the Middle East and North Africa through five theses. Straddling the border between journalism and literature, thesis titles include: “If I Were President,” “The Revolution Is a Failure,” and “Mother Knows Best.”

The magazine draws on the talents of correspondents’ 120-strong network of journalists as well as guest writers—contributions come from Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Iran as well as Sudan.

Besides providing an example of best practice for the journalists with whom MiCT works, the new Correspondents magazine also dabbles with an experimental structure. Pictures and artwork have been carefully sourced to illustrate the texts and the magazine features a centerfold which gives a historical overview of regional statehood.

The second Correspondents magazine was published at the end of 2014 and is available for purchase at MiCT’s online store. Last year’s Correspondents magazine was awarded a Silver Medal at the prestigiousGerman media prize Lead Awards in the category “Newcomer of the Year.”
