Catamaran / Sri Lanka
Since the attacks on Easter Sunday, Sri Lanka has been experiencing a climate of fear that has the potential to influence both the functioning of the state, the political character of the future government and, last but not least, the relations between the different religious and ethnic groups in the country in the election year 2019.

The, four years ago initially designed to improve dialogue between Tamil and Sinhalese journalists, is now promoting the mutual understanding and reconciliation between all ethnic and religious communities in Sri Lanka, with a focus on calming down the resentment muslim communities have to face after the terror attacks.

The Catamaran publishes stories in Sinhalese, Tamil and English. It is supported by the Sri Lankan Press Institute in Colombo and funded by the German development organization GIZ.
