The programme seeks to support media houses to understand their position, audience, brand and media sales opportunities. The programme seeks to connect managers and media sellers of media outlets with high ranking professionals from the world of media planning, audience research, advertising and business. Courses are in English and focus on media sales towards local and international advertisers as well as media agencies. Innovative media initiatives often struggle to professionalise their business model to attract advertising revenue. The Media Pioneers programme was especially designed to equip media houses with media sales skills. It builds upon MiCT's handbook "The Media Business for Pioneers", which is available, among other languages, in English, and Swahili.This programme is developed by MiCT and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
